Had a great holiday weekend here including a visit from my Mom (Grandma), the opening of Rita's in our town, beautiful weather, a surprise visit from my Dad and stepmom (Pop and Abi), a surprise baby shower for #2, and a farewell dinner at an old favorite restaurant (it's the restaurant that's going away, not us).
But all of that is a little hazy right now, as Little Man is really struggling through grandparent detox today. This manifests itself in the form of hyperactive behavior, constant demands on the parents, and backtalk (and special for Mommy today, two bites!). This may have been aggravated by a wee bit too much sugar in the form of lemonade tonight.
I do have one funny example of grandparent detox.
Little Man: Mommy, pick me up.
Me: I'm not going to pick you up right now, you're too big.
LM: GRANDMA!
Grandma was long gone, but I'm pretty sure he was going to tattle on me.

LOL!! My kids are the exact same way after leaving Grandparents.... Congrats on the new Rita's!! Yummy!!
My oldest is having grandma days Monday through Wednesday this summer while I'm at the office. It's funny what they get away with. ;) (or not...ha!)
It's hard. I want to pick the LG up but she's just too heavy on my belly right now. Sometimes I do anyway, but I always pay for it later...
