"I don't like it."

We set a new land-speed record this morning. I put Little Man in time-out within 5 seconds of setting eyes on him and before I even spoke a word to him this morning. I opened the door to his room and he held up a book (which wasn't in his crib, but was close enough) and said, "I rip it!". He's done this twice before, and we have had a serious conversation each time. These are board books, and he's ripping off the colorful layer. So before I could even say "good morning," he was in time-out.

Then I made the horrible mother offense of getting him dressed. In overalls. Overalls are not pleasing to him.
"I don't like it."
Right now I've appeased him by putting cereal in the front pocket of the overalls. But I can't feed him cereal all day, so I'm going to have to come up with something else soon. As a bonus, Daisy is really fond of him now that he has food in his pocket.Nice Easter shirt, kid. At least he doesn't know he's off-season, too.

You really captured his "DON'T LOOK AT ME" face in the first 2 pictures. Then comes the miraculous transformation in the 3rd picture.

Ah- so glad to see I'm not the only mother who has to occassinally begin her mornings the same way. Alden loves his overalls for the same reason- that top pocket is perfect for snacks!
