Baby in Motion

Some pictures of Baby from the past week.

Baby is an action man. His new M.O. is that he doesn't want to sit and have a bottle, he wants to have a few sips at his convenience, while playing.

Hello. My name is Lars. Would you like to have an apres-ski drink with me?

When he wakes up from a nap he's in a VERY good mood and likes to jump up and down and yell until I come for him. He was jumping when I took this shot so I didn't know how it'd turn out, but it sums it all up pretty well:

I love this picture:

Death to Snoopy, Pickles, and Bubble Bath

Ha ha!

What? Who, me?

Tonight as Baby was eating dinner I was eating a pickle. He only wants to eat what the rest of us are eating, so mostly as a joke I handed him my pickle. Who knew? He liked it. Dill. Claussen, of course.

And, I bought the classic Mr. Bubble today, so Baby had his first bubble bath. I don't think the bubbles were as good with the fragrance-free, dye-free version I got, but he'll have to graduate to the pink stuff once he stops eating the bubbles.

A Day I Will Always Remember

Today, Baby and I shared in a great tradition. I am passing down a life-long love to my son. May he carry it to future generations.

Today, Baby had his very first pizza.

He also had chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and only ate the chocolate parts.

Please don't call Social Services on me. The maple syrup was all-natural and I think he may have accidentally eaten a green bean that got stuck to the pizza cheese.

And some non-food related photos for good measure:

I am NOT TIRED.

T's parents gave us their old family piano. Baby LOVES it. When we sit down at it his hands are flailing before they even hit the keys. Here he takes matters into his own hands.

Life is Very Hard

Well, if you're a baby with no problems, life can seem hard at times. But then, suddenly, all is well again.

In other news, in case you're considering taking Baby out to dinner, his definite favorite food is tortellini. But if you're on a budget, Cheerios will do.

It was very windy today, preventing us from leaving the house (and preventing Hillary Clinton from visiting our area). The wind also knocked the cable out, so we were forced to be productive. We put lots in the car to take to t he thrift shop tomorrow, finally got all the Christmas decorations put away, and threw a few things away. Including this:

Shortly after I started at my job I got an "award" that our team passed around. The prize was possession of a farting Shrek doll for the week. I mentioned this honor to my dad, who told my stepmom, who sent a cookie bouquet to work. I saved one of the cookies for my cube. Since we no longer have cubes, it was time to dispose of the cookie bouquet.

Also shortly after I started work, I participated in a project, and for our great work and dedication we got these hats, which are too small for any adult's head. Fits pretty good on this kid, though.

Yesterday the weather was good so we went to lunch and toured around the Blue Ridge Parkway with Baby's Mimi and Grandpa J. See below:

Road-weary traveler:

I've been trying to catch this face on camera for weeks. Here it is, slightly blurry:

I still don't like bananas

Baby highly prefers food that he can feed himself, so I'm ever on a hunt for squishy food that can be eaten without utensils. Bananas seem a natural choice.
