Best Halloween Costumes

This year I won't be as crafty as someday I will pretend I always was for Halloween. I'll tell Baby that I always made his Halloween costumes from scratch, but it's not going to happen this year. We do have a Nemo costume that he received as a Christmas gift last year, before we even knew he was a he! And I want to make him be Charlie Brown, because he has a big block head, and Charlie Brown is a Blockhead. T. says that if baby is sensitive later in life, this may give him a complex about his big head. I assume he'll grow into the head eventually.

Well, I was thinking about a clown costume that my mom made for us when we were little. It probably got 8 years of use. When we were smaller, it had lots of extra fabric that poofed out. When we got taller, the costume just got narrower.

Here M. is wearing that costume and I'm wearing another homemade jester costume.

Happy Pics

Poor Daisy, even the littlest one in the house gives her a hard time.

Ticklish pits! (And cute jammies).

Waking up happy. I prefer to sleep on my side, but I can roll all over now!

Baby health update: his temperature got back to normal on Saturday, but four days of Tylenol and Motrin took its toll. He had bad gas pains all day Friday and Saturday. This morning we waged war on baby constipation with two portions of fruit for breakfast. And now all is well in Babyville.

Who needs a hot water bottle...

... when you have a baby that's 104 degrees?

Yes, we have Baby's first illness. Tuesday at lunchtime we got a call from the daycare that he had to be picked up, and that he wasn't welcome to return the next day. I came home a day early so I could stay home with Baby on Wednesday. And today. And tomorrow. We went back to the doctor today because I was worried about the continued high fevers, and we got a little more information than they told T. on Tuesday: There's a virus going around with a sore throat and a high fever. Usually lasts 4-5 days.

We love Baby, but we're hoping to see a little less of him tonight than we did last night.

Football

Baby's First Football Game.

Crowd Noise forces multiple time-outs.
He was crying before the first play, whenever the crowd got loud. He really didn't like when we were on defense, because the crowd was too loud. He and I spent the first half in the concessions area. We returned to watch the bands, and we made it through the second half with minimal crying (seen below).

I do love to tailgate!

Reality

The first day back from a long weekend makes you just want to pass out on the couch.

In other news, all the contents of my cube at work have been reduced to one box. We're moving this week so they can change our area to "Future of Work." In a month we'll move back and we won't have cubes and I'll have to be down to zero boxes. No place to keep pictures of Baby or any other personal things, either. Ah well, it's only two days per week for me.

No New Pictures

This weekend T. and I travelled for a football game, and Baby spent the weekend with his Grandma. He also visited with Great Aunt J. and Uncle S., and Aunt E. and Uncle M.

I forgot my camera at home, so we don't have any football pics or Baby pics from this weekend. I will post those later.

Instead, I'll post one of Baby's first pictures. Please note that even at minutes of age, Baby was moving too fast to be captured on film. Nothing has changed.

'Tis the Season

'Tis the season for football. Which may translate to less time for picture posting. But here are a few pics for you. Since I last posted Baby turned 5 months, we had our first football game of the season, and Abi and Pop came to visit, brining their new puppy Pepe.
